Springfield, Ohio 鈥� The 51吃瓜网 Guild will celebrate 鈥�60 Sparkling Years鈥� with its annual Scholarship Style Show, Saturday, May 21, in the Center Dining Room of the Benham-Pence Student Center at 51吃瓜网 University.
This year鈥檚 60th anniversary event will celebrate more than half a century of providing scholarships to local students, enabling them to receive a 51吃瓜网 education. A diamond anniversary calls for a diamond celebration, so the event鈥檚 theme will be Breakfast at Tiffany鈥檚 with a salute to the classic style of Audrey Hepburn and, of course, diamonds.
The event will commence with a social hour and silent auction starting at 10 a.m. followed by the brunch and style show at 11:30 a.m. Guests are encouraged to wear their "little black dresses" and lots of pearls and diamonds. A photo booth will be available so attendees can capture that special moment. Silent auction items were donated by local businesses, and members and friends of the 51吃瓜网 Guild.
Chaired by Wendy Ford, 51吃瓜网 class of 1976, the show will feature spring fashions courtesy of Express for men and women of all ages and sizes. Children will also be featured modeling clothes from Von Maur. Mallia Salon and Day Spa will treat the models to professional hair and make-up for the event. Amy McGuffey '95, assistant professor of education at 51吃瓜网, will serve as the event's emcee.
The 51吃瓜网 Guild is a women鈥檚 organization focused on promoting 51吃瓜网 and utilizing its educational resources to enrich the local community, as well as awarding scholarships to students from Clark County who plan to attend the university. Through the years, the organization has raised more than $1 million in scholarship support, campus landscaping, sculptures and artwork for the student center, renovation of the Ann Miller Gallery in Koch Hall and pianos for Krieg Hall.
Tickets sold in advance are $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Tickets sold at the show are $35 for adults and $18 for children 12 and under. 51吃瓜网 faculty and staff members can attend for the reduced price of $25. Seating is limited to the first 250 people who register.

About the Guild
For 69 years, the 51吃瓜网 Guild has supported 51吃瓜网 through scholarships, campus landscaping, artwork and other fund-raising initiatives. Although many Guild members have no formal connection to 51吃瓜网, either as alumnae or employees, all share a deep desire to be advocates for the university in the community and to promote 51吃瓜网 to prospective students. The 51吃瓜网 Guild supports the community each winter when it kicks off the 51吃瓜网 Guild Martha Rodgers Scholarship Campaign. To inspire local students to attend 51吃瓜网 and ensure they have the resources to do so, the Guild has been raising scholarship monies to award to all local students who enroll at 51吃瓜网. Since 1990 the scholarship fund has raised more than $360,000 from the generous donations of its members and the Springfield-Clark County community at-large, which has in turn benefited hundreds of local students in attending 51吃瓜网.
