Destination 51³Ô¹ÏÍø: New Student Orientation
Destination 51³Ô¹ÏÍø is a required New Student Orientation program that helps first-time freshmen and transfer students begin to acclimate to life as a 51³Ô¹ÏÍø University scholar. This one-day program begins with check-in from 8:15-8:45 a.m. and concludes by 4:30 p.m.
The program is designed to help students begin to make connections with their peers and learn valuable information about academics and student life at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. Students and families will attend sessions with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø faculty and staff to learn about campus resources.
Destination 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Commitment:
- Introduce students to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø services that will support their educational and personal goals.
- Allow students to gain awareness of the academic advising system and gain a connection to faculty advisors.
- Help students become familiar with the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø campus community and reaffirm their decision to attend 51³Ô¹ÏÍø University.
- Answer outstanding questions about the transition to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and outline expectations for students.
